MEET THE OWNER/DIRECTOR
Colleen Calvert is the owner and Director of The
Growing Place Preschool. She has been working in
the field of early childhood education for over 12
years and has an Associates of Arts degree in Human
Services. Colleen has worked as a preschool
teacher as well as an early childhood specialist
where her duties included overseeing the program
quality and training the staff of a preschool serving
150 children. She started The Growing Place
Preschool to provide an environment where children
can learn at their own pace and reach their full
potential.
OUR PROGRAM CONSULTANT
Carrie Piper, M.Ed. is acting as our program
consultant. Carrie has been a preschool teacher,
director and trainer and holds a Masters Degree in
Early Childhood Education. Carrie works in an
advisory capacity ensuring program quality and
providing teacher training in developmentally
appropriate practice.
